What are Posts?

Aboard's Posts feature is the perfect way to create and share articles with your colleagues. These could be about important company updates, monthly reports, or just fun news about trips and activities - get creative!

Getting started

To create a post, you'll need to have Admin or Manager access. To get started, find Posts in the left-hand menu, and then click the "+ New post" button. This will create a post in draft mode, and then you'll have the chance to add a cover image, title, and body.

Using the Text Editor

To start writing text, click below your Title, and then you can start typing. However, you may want to add further features such as a delimiter, heading, or image. To add these, hover your mouse over the text box and then you'll see "+" sign appear on the left-hand side. Click there, then you'll see the option to add these.

Once you have added these different features, you are then able to move or delete them. To do this, click the icon to the right of the "+" button, then you'll be able to Move up, Delete, or Move down.

Additionally, you can change text to headers and vice versa, and make text bold, italic, or add a link. To do this, hover over the word that you want to change, then you'll see the options that are available to you.

Publishing and sharing your post

Ready to share? First, you'll need to hit the "Publish" button in the top-right corner. Publishing a post will do four things:

  1. Send an email to your employees with the post so that can either read it directly in their inbox or open it via a link, which takes them to the Employee portal.

  2. Make the post available in the Employee portal. This means that your employees can go to their portal, find the Posts section, and read and leave an emoji of all of your published posts.

  3. Move it to the "Published" part of your Posts in the admin view. Don't worry, once published, it's still possible to edit, unpublish, and delete your post.

  4. Give you the ability to share the post via a link using the "Share" icon in the top-right corner. Note that the share link URL can only be opened by users with access to your Employee portal.

Enjoy!
