When you first log in to the Admin/Manager portal you are greeted with the Home Dashboard of Aboard, your initial base of operation.
The dashboard is fully customizable and can look different from person to person depending on how they have it set up.
Let's have a closer look at what you can see here, what everything means and how you can customize it:
In the first box we find three buttons; Add employee, Create post and New onboarding.
Add employee to do exactly that; add a new employee to be available in Aboard.
Create post will allow you to create a post for your co-workers to see, this can be used for announcing an event, reminding people of kitchen courtesy or anything else that you'd like to openly communicate with the rest of the company.
New onboarding is used when you want to start up a new onboarding with an employee that has been added to your Aboard account.
Here you will find the number of tasks you have, both overdue and in total. You can also click the little arrow in the top right corner of the box to bring up a sidebar showing exactly what these tasks are.
This contains any expiring certifications. Showing which employee it concerns, which date it expires and what certification is expiring. You can also click the employee to be sent to their profile page.
This shows you what time-off requests that has come in, allowing you to see which employee has requested time off, which policy that was used (e.g if it's vacation, sick leave, paternity, etc) and which dates that the employee has requested time off for.
Here is a list of onboardings that you have active as well as a little circle indicating how far along they are in their onboarding process. Click on any of the employees to show a more detailed breakdown of their onboarding.
Let's continue by scrolling down and having a look at the rest of the page!
A note block allowing you to write down any personal notes you might need.
Simple overview of any upcoming birthdays; which employee it concerns and what date their birthday is.
Similar to the birthdays, you can also see if anyone has an anniversary coming up, allowing you to celebrate your employees on their tenure in the company, whether it's their 1st year or their 20th!
Upcoming 1-on-1s will give you a quick view on any 1-on-1s that will be held soon. You can also click on the employee in question to bring you to the actual 1-on-1 page, super useful if you want to get a quick overview or reminder of what will be talked about in the upcoming meeting.
A photo widget, allowing you to add a picture of whatever you'd like, in our example it's a picture of some of our Aboard team members!
An overview of any active offboardings, click on any of the employees in the list to get to the offboarding page for a more detailed overview.
The final box of the page is the Customize button. This button will allow you to add and remove any widgets to and from your dashboard.
Here's a quick view of what you will be greeted with when pressing the customize button and how you can use the customizing feature:
